Care and Cleaning
There are things you can do to keep your new purchase in tip-top condition and looking great all the time. Knowing how to care for your jewellery will keep it brighter and shinier for longer.

How to Care for Your Jewellery
Avoid Chemicals
Perfume, hairspray, lotions, hand sanitisers and cleaning products can all affect precious metals over time. To keep your jewellery looking its best, make it the final touch when getting ready.
Remove for Swimming & Exercise
It is best to remove your jewellery before showering, swimming, exercising or using a hot tub. Chlorine is particularly harsh on precious metals and can cause discolouration or surface damage with repeated exposure.
That said, jewellery is made to be enjoyed. These are simply best-practice guidelines to help keep your pieces looking beautiful for longer.
Polishing & Cleaning
To clean your piece, use the polishing cloth supplied with your jewellery to restore shine. For a deeper clean, use mild soapy water and a soft toothbrush, then rinse and dry thoroughly with a lint-free cloth.
Seek Professional Cleaning When Needed
For heavily tarnished pieces, intricate designs, or jewellery set with gemstones, professional cleaning is recommended. A jeweller can also check settings and prongs to ensure your stones remain secure.
Some Helpful Tips

Silver naturally tarnishes over time through exposure to air, moisture, skin oils and everyday products. Use anti-tarnish strips, bags or airtight containers to help slow oxidation
Tarnishing varies from person to person and can be influenced by factors such as hormones, diet, medication and skin pH
Gold does not tarnish but may lose some of its shine due to a build-up of residues. A gentle clean in warm soapy water will restore its lustre
Store jewellery pieces separately to prevent scratching
Avoid storing jewellery in humid environments such as bathrooms
Keep jewellery away from prolonged direct sunlight when not being worn.
